
Did you set out to be a leader? Did you know early on that you were meant to be "in charge"? Or, like many of us, did you discover it almost in retrospect, as you found that your ideas and actions resonated with people?
Either way, if you look back on your leadership journey (even if is has been a relatively short one), you aren't unique if you find that it hasn't been a straight line to success. As much as you can read about leadership, or have a mentor help you, you make mistakes. It comes with the territory...
I bring this up because recalculation is, or at least should be, an ongoing process for any leader. Believe me when I say that even the best of recalculations don't always turn out the way you think they will.
Have a plan, yes. But take it from me, the best recalculation might be to be able (and willing!) to adjust when the leadership road takes an unexpected turn...
